The Nowruz that Wasn't

Following President Obama's message to all those celebrating the Persian new year, and, "in particular [. . .] to the people and leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran," David Frum recalls that seven years ago, he tried to talk President Bush into issuing a Nowruz greeting to the Iranian people.

Frum was rebuffed.
